Important Puppy Placement Information
Our puppies are placed in pet homes only—we do not sell with breeding rights. While we do register our litters, we do not provide the AKC registration paperwork, as we want to ensure our puppies are not used for breeding or registered with alternative canine registries.
Puppies are ready to go home sometime after they’re 8 weeks of age, once they’ve had their vet visit, received their initial vaccinations, and have been issued their Florida Health Certificate.
To ensure each puppy handles their vaccines well, we hold them for a short period after their appointment:
• Local families (within 1 hour): Puppies can go home 24 hours after their 8-week vet visit
• Non-local families or those flying: Puppies may go home 72 hours after their 8-week vet visit
Applications are required before claiming a puppy and are only sent out once puppies are officially listed as available. We typically wait to determine if we’re keeping any puppies for our program before making them available.
Puppies are placed on a first-come, first-served basis for approved applicants.
A $1,000 reservation fee is required to hold a puppy. No puppy is held without this fee. The remaining balance is due at pickup. If you’re using a flight nanny, final payment must be made at least 3 business days before the scheduled flight.
A Gentle Reminder
Bringing a puppy into your life is a joyful and rewarding experience—but it’s also a big responsibility. These little ones are still babies and will need your time, patience, and guidance to learn potty training, manners, and routines. Like any baby, they may fuss at bedtime or wake during the night in the beginning.
We kindly ask that you take time to consider whether this is the right season in your life to raise a puppy. If you’re ready to move forward, we’re excited to walk alongside you in welcoming your new family member!
