Each litter will vary when we list the puppies as able to be claimed.
Sometimes we hold back a certain gender, color, or pattern to keep for our program. Sometimes we need a few weeks to decide which is the best pup to keep back for our program. Other times we know we aren’t keeping back any puppies from a certain litter, or not keeping a certain color, pattern, or gender so those may be listed sooner.
When we list puppies as able to be claimed we will go ahead and start accepting applications for those puppies at that time. We do not have the application listed anywhere on our website because we do not need or want an endless list of applications.
Please do not request an application unless you have looked into travel if you aren’t local and are ready to move forward on a specific puppy/place the deposit to hold said puppy.
Once your application is approved you are able to go ahead and place a deposit on the puppy you have applied for.
This process if first come/first serve. Some individuals do ghost us, and some take days to get back to us. So we move forward with whoever is first to place the deposit on the puppy (an approved applicant, of course).
Again, if you’re not local or not in Florida, PLEASE look into travel first to be sure any travel costs associated with coming to pick up your puppy are something you are able to/want to move forward with so you don’t waste our time.
Puppies can go home once they are 8 weeks old, have had their 8 weeks vet visit, and received their initial vaccines. They will receive their Florida Health Certificate at this appointment.
Puppies that are going home locally or within an hour drive can leave the day after their 8 weeks vet visit.
Puppies that are staying in Florida but a few hours away can leave 48 hours after their 8 weeks vet visit.
Puppies that are flying out of state can leave 72 hours after their 8 weeks vet visit,
The reason we hang on to the puppies based on these time frames is in case the puppy has a reaction to their vaccines.
If you’re not planning to or able to pick puppy up once puppy can go home this all needs to be addressed and chatted about initially.
