At our core, our small in-home breeding program is more than just a business - it's an absolute love for the breed and love for our dogs. They are not just pets to us, they are our family. We do not have a kennel. Our dogs live amongst us, being a part of our everyday lives.
Our main goal is to breed happy, healthy puppies. As such we are very hands-on with our puppies from birth until they are ready to leave our home. From the moment they are born, they are surrounded by love and care. We do already have a couple of imports as well as champion lined dogs. As we continue to enhance our breeding program with more imports, we aim to produce puppies with improved coat quality resembling the European style, long and full. We also have a strong preference for dachshunds with longer ears and a lower ear set. Although our primary focus is longhair miniature dachshunds we do have one smooth coat in the mix. She carries the gene to produce longhair though so her litters will always have a mix, some being longhair and others being smooth coat.
For those who are not local, we are happy to meet you at one of our nearby airports. Those are RSW in Fort Myers, FL and PGD in Punta Gorda, FL. We want to make the process as smooth as possible for you while taking into consideration first and foremost the well-being of our puppies in this transition.
Additionally, we can suggest a flight nanny service to help transport your new puppy, although this service must be coordinated separately as they operate independently. Meaning they are their own business and have their own fees. We have a limited list of flight nanny services we recommend as we want our babies to travel either solo or with siblings to their destination and not with dogs/puppies from other breeders, as we don’t know the care and precautions being taken within those programs.
